Our mission is to maintain and enhance the safety and security of neighborhoods in the Shadow Creek Ranch master planned community, through continued education of our residents, dissemination of important information, and patrolling of our neighborhoods to identify and report suspicious behavior.
Membership
Membership in the SCR Neighborhood Watch group is open to all eligible residents, business owners, and members of the community organizations who live or conduct business within the neighborhoods of Shadow Creek Ranch community and current property owners within the community.

Shooting in SCR
Not a topic I ever want to post, but most of you have likely already heard about this. Below are details from Pearland PD for anyone who isn’t aware of the matter:
Police Investigate shooting at local basketball court Case # 17-000322
Pearland, Texas (January 11, 2017) The Pearland Police Department is currently conducting an investigation after a shooting that occurred at a local basketball court located at 12124 S. Clearlake Loop. On January 11, 2017 at approximately 2:30pm Pearland Police Officers responded to the basketball courts located at 12124 S. Clearlake Loop. Witnesses reported they had heard what sounded like a gunshot and saw a silver vehicle speeding from the area. Witnesses called the police and applied pressure to the victim’s injuries until medics arrived.
The suspects had been described as two males wearing ski masks and seen leaving the area in a silver or grey passenger car (possibly a Toyota) with no other information. The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. The investigation is still ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available. As we find out more, I’ll share updates. The SCR Neighborhood Watch group is meeting with other interested parties (HOA, PPD) to determine actionable items from this and other recent criminal acts. We’ll need volunteers to conduct patrols (SAFELY) and monitor activity. If you’d like to help us, please click on “Volunteer” under the Contact Us link at the top of the page.

There is a new Facebook page created by the SCR HOA Management’s Lifestyle Manager, who will be responsible for promoting events and groups within the community. While our events will always be posted here as well as on our Facebook group and Twitter feed, we will include them on that page as well to ensure visibility. Please like the page so that you are kept abreast of upcoming events, including HOA board meetings and other important matters.

Spring 2017 Self Defense Classes
As we start the new year, we’re also starting up the next round of Self Defense training sessions. If you were unable to attend the fall sessions, hopefully you’ll be able to make the spring dates. Fall participants were excited to learn basic real-life self defense and finished more confident in their ability to ward off an attack. This is a great beginner’s course. Registration is January 17th at 7pm at the Emerald Bay Clubhouse.
SELF DEFENSE CLASS UPDATE!!
Due to a scheduling conflict, there will be no class Tuesday, November 29th. Regular classes will resume the following Tuesday, December 6th.
4th Quarter Meeting Postponed
Our 4th Quarter general meeting, originally scheduled for this Sunday, November 20th, has been postponed due to the holidays and travel plans by many members and officers. A rescheduled date has not yet been determined but will be announced everywhere as soon as scheduled.
